PALF works with entrepreneurs at varying stages in emerging markets. In years past we have run incubators, education summits, among other programs to build the affordable education ecosystem globally and find and support the very best education entrepreneurs addressing their local communities. Through our programming we have worked with seed stage to later stage education companies in India, Africa and Latin America. We are now planning new 2016 programs in Southeast Asia and Brazil and follow up programming in India and Africa.
Southeast Asia Education Summit
Over the past several years we have seen an emerging education community evolve across Southeast Asia. We are currently planning a multi-day education summit in order to foster more community and work with leading education stakeholders and innovators across the region. The event is likely to take place in April or May of 2016. Check back soon for more information and reach out if you are interested in partnering or participating.
Brazil Education Summit
Following on the momentum of our work in Latin America in 2015, we will be hosting an Education Summit in Brazil in 2016. We are collaborating again with the Omidyar Network and looking to create an event to support the education ecosystem across the country. Keep an eye out for more information and please reach out to the PALF team if you are interested in getting involved.
Latin America Education Summit
PALF, in partnership with the Omidyar Network, hosted a Latin America Education Summit in Bogota, Colombia from September 14-16, 2015. The Summit included 9 of the most competitive education companies from across Latin America addressing some of the most significant education challenges in their respective markets. The Summit was a 3-day intensive, peer-learning, program designed to address key areas for education companies. For more detailed learnings from the event, read our debrief of the Summit.
PALF returned to India in April 2015 to host a series of Affordable Learning Summits. These one-day events attracted 30 education ventures, 70 entrepreneurs, 20+ expert mentors, among countless stakeholders and thought leaders from across the education and entrepreneurship sectors, all with the intention of collaborating to design and support scalable solutions to critical education challenges facing India. The events included an Edtech ideator in Bangalore, an Edupreneurs Forum and Pitch Fest in Mumbai and an Investor Demo Day in Delhi.
